Navigating the health care system and coverage can seem difficult, especially for those who may speak and different language or have special needs. In an effort to advance health equity, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of Minority Health created resources for physicians and their patients to help guide people through the health care system.
The From Coverage to Care resources include booklets, videos, flyers, and other tools to educate patients about health care insurance coverage, how to navigate the system for both physical and behavioral health, and what preventive services are best for them.
Free, downloadable resources can be found online in both English and Spanish, and several are available in Tribal editions, as well as Arabic, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, and Vietnamese.
