Family Medicine Workshop
The Family Medicine Workshop will examine a broad spectrum of topics and concerns of clinical interest and relevance to primary care physicians. The objective is to provide information on diagnostic techniques, advanced technical theory, current research, problem solving methods, and management techniques within the core content areas of family medicine. The program is scheduled over two weekends with each two-day weekend course covering major topic areas for more than 20 continuing medical education credits. Between the two weekends, more than 120 family physicians will attend this unique educational experience.
The Family Medicine Workshop will be held Saturday-Sunday, January 11-12 and January 25-26, 2020, at the Columbus Marriott Northwest in Dublin, OH.
- USPSTF Updates.
An American Board of Family Medicine Knowledge Self-Assessment and Clinical Self-Assessment Group Study will also be available.
The OAFP seeks corporate partners to provide sponsorships that will help create valuable education for Ohio’s family physicians including the eight clinical topics that are presented between the two weekends. A sponsorship enhances the quality of the program by offsetting honoraria, travel expenses, and other expenses related to obtaining a highly-respected faculty and delivering quality education. The OAFP works with the sponsor to create a sponsorship package that best fits both organizations’ needs. In recognition of each partner’s support, the OAFP will credit that company as an official supporter on signage displayed at the meeting; in a post-meeting issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is more than 4,900), and in a post-event edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation more than 4,100).
Exhibiting at the Family Medicine Workshop is a great way to get exposure for your company with Ohio’s family physicians. Tabletop exhibits are held on the Saturday of each weekend’s workshop. The cost of exhibit space is $750 per Saturday or $1,200 to attend both Saturdays. Exhibitors will receive a 3’ by 6’ draped table, chair, final attendee list, and one complimentary meal ticket to Saturday’s dinner with the physicians. Exhibiting companies will be recognized on signage displayed at the meeting, in a post-meeting edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation more than 4,100) and in a post-event issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is more than 4,900).
Family Medicine Celebration (Annual Meeting)
Each August, members of the OAFP come together to determine the policies and priorities of the OAFP during the Family Medicine Celebration. In addition to the business and committee meetings held throughout the weekend, the Annual Meeting also offers innovative continuing medical education sessions, an advocacy luncheon, and an American Board of Family Medicine knowledge self-assessment activity.
The Family Medicine Celebration will be held Friday-Sunday, August 2-4, at the Grand Event Center in Columbus, OH.
The OAFP seeks corporate partners to provide sponsorships that will help create valuable education for Ohio’s family physicians. The OAFP will work with you to create a sponsorship package that best fits both organizations’ needs. Historically, packages have included sole sponsorship of welcome receptions, dinners, evening receptions, breakfasts, and breaks. Sponsorships will be used to offset honoraria, travel expenses, and other expenses related to obtaining highly respected faculty and delivering quality education. In recognition of each company’s support, the OAFP will credit that company as an educational or hospitality grant supporter on signs displayed at the meeting, in a post-meeting issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is more than 4,900), and in a post-meeting edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation is more than 4,100).
Exhibiting at the Annual Meeting is another great way to get exposure for your company with Ohio’s family physicians. Tabletop exhibits are available on Sunday at $500 per booth. Exhibitors will receive a 3′ by 6′ draped table, chair, and final attendee list. Exhibiting companies will be recognized on signage displayed at the meeting, in a post-meeting issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is more than 4,900), and in a post-meeting edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation is more than 4,100).
