Marketing Opportunities

The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians offers a variety of opportunities that you can use to deliver your organization’s message. These opportunities include community & corporate engagement opportunities as a Partner in Health or sponsoring a non-continuing medial education activity; display and classified advertising in our quarterly magazine and website; sponsoring our weekly e-newsletter; sponsoring our monthly resources email; purchasing a membership mailing list; exhibiting at or sponsoring our events; and becoming an OAFP Foundation Corporate Member.

Our community and corporate engagement opportunities are designed to facilitate connections that focus on building long-term relationships through cutting-edge education and targeted communications. Recognizing those who are making a commitment to family medicine in Ohio and patients across the state is paramount to the success of this multi-faceted partnership opportunity.

We want to be there for you by opening doors and building relationships so that when members find themselves in need of information, products, or services, they only need to look as far as the Academy and our partners that exist to support them.

Partners in Health

This exciting program recognizes community and corporate supporters as not only partners in family medicine but “Partners in Health.” Participants in this program receive a web linked logo or ad/graphic recognition on the Partners in Health resources page on the OAFP website for one calendar year. OAFP Partners in Health receive extra benefits throughout the year including:
  • Recognition in the OAFP’s communication vehicles highlighting our partnership and driving physician attention to your online resources on a quarterly basis
  • Recognition in the OAFP’s quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (TOFP), which has a print and digital circulation of nearly 8,000

  • Sponsorship discount in OAFP’s weekly e-newsletter, the Weekly Family Medicine Update, which is delivered to more than 4,200 subscribers

The program is scheduled over two weekends with each two-day weekend course covering major topic areas for up-to 29 continuing medical education credits. Between the two weekends, more than 100 family physicians attend this unique educational experience.

The Family Medicine Workshop will be held Saturday-Sunday, January 18-19, 2025, and Saturday-Sunday, February 1-2, 2025, at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel in Westerville, OH.

Support
The OAFP seeks corporate partners to provide sponsorships that will help create valuable education for Ohio’s family physicians. The OAFP will work with you to create a sponsorship package that best fits both organizations’ needs. Historically, packages have included sole sponsorship of welcome receptions, dinners, evening receptions, breakfasts, and breaks. Sponsorships will be used to offset honoraria, travel expenses, and other expenses related to obtaining highly respected faculty and delivering quality education. In recognition of each company’s support, the OAFP will credit that company as an educational or hospitality grant supporter on signs displayed at the meeting, in a post-meeting issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is nearly 8,000), and in a post-meeting edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation nearly 4,500).

Exhibits
Exhibiting at the Workshop is another great way to get exposure for your company with Ohio’s family physicians. Exhibitors will receive a 3′ by 6′ draped table, chair, and final attendee list. Exhibiting companies will be recognized on signage displayed at the meeting, in a post-meeting issue of our quarterly magazine, The Ohio Family Physician (print and digital circulation is nearly 8,000), and in a post-meeting edition of the Weekly Family Medicine Update, our weekly e-newsletter (circulation more than 4,200).
