The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians needs you! There are many ways to get involved with the OAFP. Opportunities range in scope from single, one-time tasks to multi-year commitments–all are important!

Single Tasks
- Contact a legislator
- Participate in a media interview
- Attend an event
- Precept a medical student
- Attend a regional chapter meeting
- Engage through the Academy’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages
- Donate to the OAFP Foundation
- Author an article for The Ohio Family Physician
- Represent the OAFP at a meeting
Short-Term, Time Limited Opportunities
- Serve on an OAFP taskforce or workgroup
- Help plan a continuing medical education (CME) event
- Recruit members
- Serve as a National Conference of Constituency Leaders delegate
- Involve your practice in a quality improvement (QI) program
- Represent the OAFP at a stakeholder meeting
- Be a CME presenter
- Join a member interest group
Year-Long Commitment
- Committee participation
- Make yourself available to participate in media interviews
- Serve as a family medicine advocate
- Represent the OAFP with standing stakeholder groups
- Become a regional chapter officer/leader
Multi-Year Commitment
- Serve on the OAFP Board of Directors
- Serve on the OAFP Foundation Board of Trustees
- Serve on an AAFP commission
- Get involved with AAFP leadership
