The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians has nominated Matt Finneran, MD, FAAFP, for appointment to the American Academy of Family Physicians Commission on Health of the Public and Science, the AAFP Commission on Quality and Practice, or the AAFP Commission on Membership and Member Services.
Dr. Finneran has been in private practice since 1986 and is currently owner and managing physician of a group practice in northeastern Ohio. An OAFP past president, Dr. Finneran served a five-year term on the AAFP Commission on Governmental Advocacy; his final year he led the commission as chair.
In the chapter letter of support, OAFP President Don Mack stated, “Dr. Finneran is a strong, well-organized, hard-working leader who would be a valuable asset to any of these three commissions. His leadership skills, work ethic and wide-ranging professional experiences make him well qualified to serve with distinction.”
