Lizzy McIntosh, MD, MPH, PGY3 at Grant Family Medicine Residency in Columbus, OH, has been elected resident chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians 2020 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students (National Conference). The election took place during the National Conference held July 25-27, in Kansas City, MO.
Dr. McIntosh is served as the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians resident alternate delegate to National Conference this year. She has also served our state chapter as a member of the OAFP Family Medicine Workshop Planning Committee.
Dr. McIntosh first became involved in the AAFP through the New York State Academy of Family Physicians as a second year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. There she served as student representative on the board, student delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates, and as AAFP National Conference student chair. She was part of the inaugural class of Family Medicine Leads and has served as the student representative to the AAFP Foundation Board of Trustees.
A native of Cincinnati, OH, Dr. McIntosh and her family have settled in Johnstown, OH, where she plans to work with the Licking Memorial Health system after graduation.
