Summer brings out the best in Ohio and often the best in us as individuals since exercise seems to be easier and comes naturally with yard work and other outdoor activities. The blooming trees and flowers remind of us of the phenomenon of renewal — therapy we could all use from time to time. Ohio is magnificent in summer so I hope you will take this issue out on the porch and be “in the moment” as the current saying goes.

Please take note of the OAFP’s annual meeting, the Family Medicine Celebration, Friday-Sunday, August 2-4, at The Grand Event Center in Columbus, OH, and register to attend. This conference is great opportunity to visit with family physician friends, get some outstanding continuing medical education, and entertain your family in Columbus, OH, for a weekend. It would be nice to see you there. Also, save the dates for next year’s Family Medicine Workshop Saturday-Sunday, January 11-12 & 25-26, 2020, at the Columbus Marriott Northwest in Dublin, OH!
Enjoy this issue and promise to renew yourself at every opportunity. Burnout is preventable and curable.
