As the weather turns colder and people spend more time indoors, the risk for COVID-19 infection and other respiratory illnesses increases. The combined impact of COVID-19, influenza, and other respiratory illnesses such as RSV could be significant this fall. The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) encourages Ohioans to take steps now to be prepared for what might be around the corner.
ODH has created a communications toolkit emphasizing the importance of prevention, testing, and treatment to minimize the impacts of COVID-19 this fall and winter.
The toolkit includes communications resources to help physicians and other healthcare professionals, local health departments, and community partners share key messages about COVID-19 spread, prevention, vaccination, testing, and treatment. Ready-to-use and customizable materials include key messages that can be used to share information and answer questions, social media graphics and sample posts, and newsletter/website language.
Through consistent messaging, we can work together to help protect Ohioans from COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses.
The Be Prepared: A COVID-19 Communications Toolkit and more information is available on the ODH website.
