A troubling new legislative proposal concerning vaccines was recently introduced in the Ohio Legislature. In response to strong opposition to its predecessor, House Bill (HB) 248, HB 435 was intended to be a compromise. Unfortunately, at its core, this new legislation is still deeply harmful, as it takes away the rights of the majority of individuals who have businesses in Ohio to implement important safety measures meant to protect their employees, clients, and others from COVID-19.
We experienced an overwhelmingly successful response in our last grassroots campaign against HB 248, which resulted in over 2,600 messages sent to elected officials from all over the state.
Now – we need your help again! Tell your legislators that HB 435 is extremely dangerous and inappropriate for Ohio. Please visit the Ohio State Medical Association’s Advocacy Action Center to send a letter to your elected officials urging them to reject this bill.
