The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued Standing Orders offering guidance for COVID-19 vaccine providers on administering the new Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine (children ages 5-11), now authorized for emergency use.
The standing orders include eligibility, contraindications, procedures for administering the vaccine, records, monitoring for adverse events, and reporting adverse events.
