Join us for our return to Findlay, OH! The CME Roadshow & Dermoscopy Workshop – Findlay will be held at the stately Hancock Hotel in Findlay, on Thursday, September 8. This learning opportunity offers a half-day of continuing medical education (CME) programming in the morning and an Introduction to Dermoscopy procedural workshop in the afternoon.
- Improving the Care of Patients with COPD and Getting the Credit You Need
- Developmental Disabilities: A Primer for Family Physicians
- Liver Function Tests: Alk Phos and other Abnormalities
- Early Malignant Melanoma – A Family Physician’s Perspective
- And more!
The dermoscopy procedural workshop will allow participants to learn the basics of dermoscopy from North Carolina family physician and national reknowned speaker James William McNabb, MD, FAAFP. A dermatoscope is a relatively new medical device that enables enhanced examination of a skin lesion using an illuminated microscope. The device allows visualization through the stratum corneum to give a detailed evaluation of the lesion subsurface structures and patterns. This in turn improves the diagnosis of melanoma, atypical nevi, Spitz nevi, BCC, SCC, and many other conditions that are commonly encountered in daily practice by family physicians. Participation in the procedural workshop is limited to the first 35 registrants.
