On June 2, Governor Mike DeWine announced that, as of right now, Ohio intends to reopen schools in the fall, but individual starting dates will be up to each local school board.
In the near future, broad reopening guidelines will be issued for schools in regard to protecting the health of students and staff when the school year resumes. Officials from the Ohio Department of Health are working with officials from the Ohio Department of Education on these reopening guidelines.
It would be wonderful if OAFP and/or any of its members could help us know who the officials are that are helping ODE and ODH with their reopening guidelines, so as to have a way to share thoughts and ideas. I have tried for over 1 month through both ODH and ODE and OAFP and have heard “the experts are working on it.” Why does ODH post the names of individuals on the fair reopening advisory board, for instance, but not on this? Thank you in advance for any guidance or direction any of you may have!
