COVID-19 Vaccines: Building Patient Confidence is a half-day livestream conference on Tuesday, November 30, at 2 p.m.
Hosted by several American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) experts, the event, which is the latest in the AAFP’s ongoing continuing medical education (CME) series on improving vaccine confidence, features a number of online sessions, recommended best practices, a faculty panel, and more.
Learning objections include:
- Describe the immunological basis of action for different vaccines, how different platforms are used to deliver vaccines, and the processes used for mass production of vaccines
- Describe the flow of clinical trials needed for vaccine authorization/approval, and the differences between the typical approval process and an EUA
- Evaluate the reasons for vaccine hesitancy among patients and healthcare professionals and define best practice strategies to overcome hesitancy issues
- Develop practice management strategies for handling COVID-19 vaccines and ensuring their prioritized delivery to at-risk populations, and underserved populations
- Define a strategy to maximize reimbursement for vaccination services in your practice.
While the event is free to participants, registration is required in advance. Free CME credits are available.
