Ophthalmologist, writer, and comedian Will Flanary, MD, aka Dr. Glaucomflecken on social media, will be meeting live with American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) resident members at 5:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 30, as part of the AAFP’s Resident Livestream Series.
Dr. Flanary, who has more than 1.5 million followers on TikTok and Twitter, will be joined during this event by AAFP Executive Vice President and CEO Shawn Martin, and Resident Board Member Amanda Stisher, MD, for a discussion about how physicians use social media as a medical professional to learn, teach, entertain, influence, and more.
This one-hour discussion is the second in a series of events that are exclusively for resident members and feature experts on a variety of health care-related topics. Residents can submit a written or videotaped question for Dr. Flanary through the AAFP website by Monday, November 22.
