So what exactly are we supposed to do with a nursing home patient who needs an evaluation for COVID-19? Squad run to the Fairgrounds? This just isn’t figured out very well.
Dr. Naveau, I attempted to get some guidance for you from the Ohio Department of Health. I was told that you should contact the ODH Bureau of Infectious Diseases main phone line at 614.995.5599 for guidance rather than going through the coronavirus hotline. Hotline is geared toward general public while infectious disease bureau is able to answer questions of physicians and other health care professionals.
Hope this helps. Thank you so much for your service at this most difficult time.
