Join us for the next Bite-Sized Learning Session on Sunday, June 7, at 8:00 p.m. live on the OAFP Facebook page.
Leading this week’s session will be Hiten Patel, MD, a soon-to-be graduate of the Ohio State University Family Medicine Residency and future ultrasound fellow. Dr. Patel will share his story of leading as a resident during a crisis, including how his team implemented telehealth for his peers.
We are all craving time to connect and figure out ways to reimagine and reinvent daily protocols and processes in practice. What better way to close this gap and find solutions than to learn directly from your Ohio Academy of Family Physician (OAFP) peers?
This series of Bite-Sized Learning Sessions has been created to serve as an opportunity for members to come together during a time when connecting and learning from each other is crucial. Join OAFP member presenters as they share their story of transition, practice pivot, or a newfound joy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The OAFP will host these mildly-moderated learning sessions on Sunday evenings (as we have speakers and topics), beginning at 8:00 p.m. Members can join the conversation by logging on to the OAFP Facebook page to watch live. We’ll open with a brief welcome and turn it over to the member presenter to share. Following their story, we’ll open it up for questions and answer through Facebook comments and then sign off. The sessions will be 30 minutes or less!
- Sunday, June 14, with Mary Krebs, MD
- Sunday, June 21, with Mike Sevilla, MD
- Sunday, June 28, with Mark Rood, MD
The learning sessions will be recorded and available on the OAFP Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as the OAFP website for future viewing.
If you have suggestions for future learning sessions or have a story to tell yourself, please contact Kaitlin McGuffie.
