This year’s American Academy of Family Physicians’ National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students (National Conference) was a huge success! Nearly 5,200 family medicine residents and medical students embraced the theme “Picture Yourself in Family Medicine.”
- Resident Delegate Kelly Thibert, DO, MPH, from the Grant Family Medicine Residency Program
- Resident Alternate Delegate Christen Johnson, MD, MPH, from The Ohio State University (OSU) Family Medicine Residency Program
- Student Delegate Ryan Paulus, from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Student Alternate Delegate Katelyn Walsh, from The OSU College of Medicine.
Each delegate participated passionately in congress sessions through writing and giving testimony on resolutions, serving on reference committees, and voting on resolutions and national leadership positions. Thank you to the delegation for proudly representing your peers in Ohio!
The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians would also like to extend congratulations to two of Ohio’s family medicine interest groups (FMIGs), the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and The Ohio State University College of Medicine, for being awarded a 2018 Program of Excellence Award from the AAFP.
