Having received a tremendous amount of comments and input on both issues from numerous professional organizations, including the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP), the SMBO agreed to send the recommendations to the Common Sense Initiative Office (CSIO) for filing. The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy will have an opportunity to review the controlled substance rules as it heads to the CSIO. A public hearing will occur after the rules are formally filed with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review.
The OAFP is closely monitoring the telehealth and controlled substance rules making process, participating in stakeholder meetings on the process and providing feedback to the SMBO as needed.
