Margot Savoy, MD, MPH, FAAFP, will join the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) staff this summer as senior vice president of education. Dr. Savoy is currently the chair and medical director of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine and a current member of the AAFP Board of Directors.
As a family physician, a family medicine educator, and a recognized national leader for health equity, Dr. Savoy brings strong leadership and perspective that will benefit our members, prospective members, and our entire organization.
Dr. Savoy’s new position will necessitate her retirement from the AAFP Board of Directors prior to joining the staff on a full-time basis.
