National Doctors Day is a day to recognize the contributions physicians make to their individual patients and their communities.
Just over a year ago, the world was thrown by the COVID-19 pandemic, but family physicians quickly shifted to a virtual care model and lead the way for COVID testing while still providing continuous care for their patients. The flexibility, sacrifice, and quick thinking of family physicians undoubtedly saved thousands of lives.
As more vaccines are distributed by physicians throughout the country, we can catch a glimpse of normalcy and hope as herd immunity grows.
