On April 19, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians held its third session of the Wellness Wednesday series that focused on setting healthy emotional boundaries.
For those who were not able to join the session, the program was recorded and has been added to the OAFP’s Wellness Wednesdays archive. Included in the archive are several resources on healthy boundaries including several articles, book suggestions, and even a self-evaluation tool to keep your professional boundaries in a safe and happy place.
The Academy’s Wellness Wednesdays program is a structured, monthly webinar series that focuses on enhancing professional and personal wellness. Creation of the series is the result of the OAFP’s Joy of Medicine Workgroup – a group of volunteer physicians tasked to champion the strategic objective of bringing back the joy to family medicine and to reignite our member’s passion for family medicine.
The series is facilitated by a licensed professional clinical counselor from the Ohio Physicians Health Program (OPHP) and is offered free to OAFP members. Each session of the series will take place the third Wednesday of each month over the typical lunch hour, 12:15-1 p.m.
If you have not registered already, there is still space available for the next Wellness Wednesdays session set for Wednesday, May 17, on the topic of time management strategies for busy docs. Other resources for improving physician wellness, strengthening resiliency, and beating burnout are available through the OAFP website.
