House Bill (HB) 248, anti-vaccine legislation that undermines and weakens the public health infrastructure in Ohio, will likely not receive hearings until the fall because in the last few hours before summer break, the legislature passed HB 244, adding language preventing public school and state colleges from requiring students to receive vaccines that have not been fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration to take classes or play sports. The bill now moves to Governor Mike DeWine for his consideration.
