The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians’ Chief Resident Workshop, designed to equip new chief residents with the leadership tools needed to have a successful academic year, is one of the OAFP’s most highly regarded programs. Join chief residents from across Ohio for the virtual workshop on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Although the American Academy of Family Physicians unfortunately had to cancel their Chief Resident Leadership Development Program for this year, the OAFP is moving forward with its program virtually!
- Discussion points led by Nathaniel Overmire, DO
- Q&A Panel of outgoing chiefs
- A message from American Academy of Family Physicians President Gary LeRoy, MD, FAAFP
- Time for small-group discussion with fellow Ohio chiefs.
This program establishes an OAFP Chief Resident Network which allows for peer dialogue to optimize discussion and serve as a touchstone throughout the year. Discussion topics have included Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education work hour regulations, ways to reduce personal stress, techniques to resolve conflicts, and innovative methods to motivate others.
Additional information and registration can be found on the OAFP website.
