The 2017 Social Determinants of Health Survey found that while 75% of members indicate that participating in advocacy on behalf of their patients is important, less than 25% have ever written an elected official or provided testimony at a hearing. The Physician Advocate, the fourth module of The EveryONE Project Social Determinants of Health Toolkit, was developed to bridge that gap, activating physicians into advocacy. Also available are two new issue briefs on Health in All Policies and Food Insecurity.
