In an effort to raise awareness concerning all legislative efforts, effective Monday, June 4, the American Academy of Family Physicians is changing how it communicates advocacy news and information to its members.
The AAFP’s new Fighting for Family Medicine (FFFM) enterprise will better communicate how and when the AAFP is advancing the family medicine cause on both the federal and state levels, thereby demystifying the legislative issues that directly affect its members.
The FFFM brand offers members several tools, including a new advocacy webpage that features:
- Real-time updates
- Bite-sized features highlighting current efforts
- Clear language on how to engage/participate in legislative discussions.
In addition, the AAFP will launch a bi-weekly Fighting for Family Medicine all-member e-newsletter that features:
- Comprehensive coverage of the AAFP’s advocacy efforts
- An “In the Trenches” section offering perspective on priority policy and political issues from Shawn Martin, AAFP senior vice president of advocacy, practice advancement, and policy.
Join the fight. Take advantage of these new tools starting Monday, June 4.
