The American Board of Family Medicine’s new Self-Directed Performance Improvement Project pathway allows practices to report individually customized quality improvement (QI) projects specific to their practice environment, regardless of the scope of care delivered, to satisfy the ABFM’s performance improvement (PI) requirement for Board Certification. The benefit of this pathway is that it can be custom tailored to fit any practice type.
