The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of member physicians, students, and residents.
Annually, the OAFP Nominating Committee seeks members to fill open positions on the Board. A full description of the roles and responsibilities of the Board is available on its website along with a list of positions available for election.
In effort to streamline the nomination process and to help balance the board with mindful intention, any member who is interested in serving on the Board must complete and submit a Board Application no later than Saturday, June 1.
Members can also suggest candidates for as many offices as desired by sending a personal nomination to Nominating Committee Chair Anna McMaster, MD, and/or to Executive Vice President Kate Mahler, CAE, that includes why your suggested candidate(s) is particularly qualified for the position(s). The deadline for submitting nominations is Saturday, June 1.
Elections for the OAFP Board will take place on Thursday, August 8, during the OAFP’s Virtual Membership Meeting and those elected will be installed on Saturday, August 17, during the Family Medicine Celebration at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, OH. Registration for both events will open in early June. To be notified when registration opens, please contact Emily Pavoni.
