Looking for a socially-distant activity for November?
The OAFP Foundation (Foundation) is hosting its inaugural Family Medicine 5K Run/Walk Saturday-Sunday, November 7 and 8, and we want YOU on our team!
Run as an individual or create a team with your family or friends.
Race participants will receive a t-shirt and medal, a printable bib, access to a virtual swag bag from sponsors, and can upload their self-recorded results to the leader board.
This year’s virtual race will allow participants to run or walk at any time during Saturday, November 7, or Sunday, November 8, on a route of their choice. Registration is open now through Sunday, November 8. Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, for a kick-off livestream video on the Foundation Facebook page and an official race start at 10 a.m. Race entry is $35 per person. Proceeds will support Foundation programming for medical students and residents.
Follow along on the Foundation’s Facebook page for training tips, selfie challenges, and reminders for the race! Make sure to tag the Foundation in your race photos and use #FamilyMedicine5K with your posts on social media.
Want to support the Family Medicine 5K, but not up for a run? Join the Foundation cheer team! Submit a donation equal to the cost of race registration and watch our Facebook page for posts from runners and walkers to share encouragement during the race weekend.
