The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, in partnership with other chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians, is excited to announce a virtual, American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)-endorsed Family Medicine Certification knowledge self-assessment (KSA) group study (formerly known as a SAM) focused on coronary artery disease set for Sunday, October 28, beginning at 6 p.m.
Registration is limited to the first 40 participants and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is only $50 for all OAFP members! (ABFM fees still apply.)
This innovative program will use a robust web-based system that will allow family physician learners from across the country the opportunity to complete a KSA while engaging their peers and an expert content leader from a location of their choosing.
This cutting-edge program will bring the issues of coronary artery disease directly into the physician’s home or office with guidance from a peer expert and the comfort of completing the KSA with fellow family physicians.
A completed KSA will provide 10 certification points towards your ABFM certification requirement and eight live AAFP Prescribed continuing medical education credits!
To participate, all you need is a computer, high-speed internet access, and a completed registration. The day of, participants will use an online polling system to work through KSA questions with our coronary artery disease expert. Our main goal is to pass the exam, with an expert speaker offering assistance when questions arise. First, questions will be displayed giving participants approximately 30 seconds to respond (time varies based on speed of participant response). Next, results will be displayed and discussed. Finally, answers will be submitted as a group and individuals will be credited for completion of the KSA.
Participation is limited to the first 40 registrants, so secure your spot by registering today! Any registrants after the first 40 will be placed on a waiting list. The overall virtual KSA attendance will not exceed 100 participants.
