On December 9, 2015, the Ohio State Medical Board formally amended Rule 4731-11-03 of the Ohio Administrative Code to make clear that moderate to severe Binge Eating Disorder (BED) in adults is a condition for which prescriptions of Vyvanse is permitted.
The amendment became effective on December 31, 2015. As a result, Ohio-licensed physicians are now able to exercise their professional judgment, and in appropriate cases, prescribe Vyvanse for this additional Food and Drug Administration-approved indication.
