Christen Johnson, MD, MPH, of The Ohio State University Family Medicine Residency, and Kelly Thibert, DO, of the Grant Family Medicine Residency, have been appointed to American Academy of Family Physicians commissions by the AAFP Board of Directors. Their terms of office begin Saturday, December 15, and run through Saturday, December 14, 2019.
Dr. Johnson will serve as the resident member of the AAFP Commission on Health of the Public and Science. Dr. Johnson represented Ohio at the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students as student alternate delegate in 2016 and as resident alternate delegate in 2018. She has been active in the Student National Medical Association.
Dr. Thibert will serve as the resident member of the AAFP Commission on Membership and Member Services. Dr. Thibert currently serves a resident trustee on the OAFP Foundation Board of Trustees where she chairs the Outreach Team. Dr. Thibert also served as Ohio’s resident delegate to the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students in 2018.
