The OAFP Foundation (Foundation) is seeking up to four medical students and up to four residents interested in serving on its board of trustees to fill two trustee and two alternate trustee positions for each category. The student and resident trustees will serve a one-year term beginning Friday, July 1, 2022, and ending Friday, June 30, 2023.
The helpful advice and good insights contributed to the Foundation by student and resident trustees assists the continuing development of Foundation programs that provide medical students with a better understanding of family medicine, encouragement to choose the family medicine specialty, and development of future leaders for the specialty.
The Foundation board meetings (3 to 4 per year) are typically held on Saturday mornings. The expectation is the student and resident trustees will make every effort to attend Foundation board meetings. More information on student and resident trustee expectations are listed in the standard operating procedure document.
Students and residents interested in serving should submit a brief statement describing their interest in serving on the Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as a current CV, to Caitlin Laudeman.
The deadline for candidates’ statements of interest and CVs is Monday, May 23.
You can find out more about the Foundation on its website.
