The OAFP Foundation (Foundation) is seeking two medical students and two residents interested in serving on its board of trustees to fill alternate trustee positions. The student and resident alternate trustees will serve a one-year term beginning Thursday, July 1, and ending Thursday, June 30, 2022.
The helpful advice and good insights contributed to the Foundation by student and resident trustees assists the continuing development of Foundation programs that provide medical students with a better understanding of family medicine, encouragement to choose the family medicine specialty, and development of future leaders for the specialty.
Foundation board meetings (3 to 4 per year) are typically held on Saturday mornings. The expectation is the student and resident trustees will make every effort to attend Foundation board meetings.
Students and residents interested in serving should submit a brief statement describing their interest in serving on the Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as a current CV, to Kaitlin McGuffie.
The deadline for candidates’ statements of interest and CVs is Friday, June 11.
You can find out more about the Foundation on its website.
