You are invited to attend an important statewide, collaborative meeting about the opioid epidemic in Ohio and the need for a continuum of care for addiction treatment on Monday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in nine locations throughout Ohio.
At this event, you will be asked to share your thoughts with other health care leaders from across Ohio at the state works to incorporate opioid treatment and evidence-based practices in a range of health care settings.
The opioid epidemic and the consequences of substance abuse are devastating the country. More must be done to end this epidemic. The continuum of care models exist to deal with substance abuse, opioid abuse, and prescription pill abuse, and this conference will highlight best practices, American Society of Addiction Medicine’s (ASAM) Standards of Care with continuing medical education accreditation*, community partnerships, and replicable models currently in practice.
