Following a few months off for summer break to recharge after a hectic budget season, the Ohio House and Senate resumes regular standing committee hearings and voting sessions this week.
Redistricting will be the hot topic given the state’s Redistricting Commission has already failed to meet constitutional deadlines for drawing new state-level maps. On September 9, the Redistricting Commission accepted proposed maps drawn by House and Senate majority staff as its working document and set a public hearing schedule. The Commission will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 15, at 10 a.m. in Statehouse Hearing Room 313.
