Congress is currently crafting opioid misuse legislation and we need to ensure that two important provisions get included in the final bill.
Tell your representatives to prioritize the Advancing Cutting Edge (ACE) Research Act (HR 5002) to support the National Institutes of Health’s research on opioids, and the Creating Opportunities that Necessitate New and Enhanced Connections That Improve Opioid Navigation Strategies Act of 2018 (CONNECTIONS) (HR 5812) to improve state prescription drug monitoring programs. These two bills, both of which passed on June 12 by a voice vote in the House, would take concrete steps to help family physicians address the opioid epidemic.
Speak Out today to ensure these provisions don’t get left on the cutting room floor and get included in any final opioid misuse legislation.
