On December 13, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians held its final session of the 2017 Wellness Wednesdays series that focused on mastering the art of gratitude.
For those who were not able to join the session, the program was video recorded and has been added to OAFP’s Wellness Wednesdays archive. Included in the archive, are several valuable resources including articles, videos, and free apps that will help you journal your way to a life of professional and personal gratitude.
The Academy’s Wellness Wednesdays program is a structured, monthly webinar series that focuses on enhancing professional and personal wellness. Creation of the series is the result of the OAFP’s Joy of Medicine Workgroup – a group of volunteer physicians tasked to champion the strategic objective of bringing back the joy to family medicine and to reignite our member’s passion for family medicine.
The series is facilitated by a licensed professional clinical counselor from the Ohio Physicians Health Program (OPHP) and is offered for free to OAFP members. Each session of the series program will take place the third Wednesday of each month over the typical lunch hour, 12:15-1 p.m.
- How to Deal with Negative Criticism
- Coping with the Emotional Impact of Adverse Patient Outcomes
- How to Approach a Peer Who is in Need of Help
- Reframing Perspective: The Power of Giving others the Benefit of the Doubt and several others.
Additional programming and registration details to follow in early 2018.
