During this unprecedented COVID-19 epidemic, the Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) Clinical Roundtable in conjunction with the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) is providing physicians and their care teams with timely and helpful information they need to care for their patients with opioid use disorders.
The list of resources includes links to live clinical roundtables, telehealth tip sheets, recorded webinars, and online trainings.
The goal of the PCSS Clinical Roundtable is to provide knowledge-based support among addiction experts and healthcare professionals.
PCSS is a program funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) created in response to the opioid overdose epidemic to train primary care providers in the evidence-based prevention and treatment of opioid use disorders (OUD) and treatment of chronic pain. The project is geared toward primary care providers who wish to treat OUD. PCSS is made up of a coalition, led by the AAAP, of major healthcare organizations (including the American Academy of Family Physicians) all dedicated to addressing this healthcare crisis.
