For those who were not able to join the session, the program was recorded and has been archived on the OAFP’s website. Provided in the archive are several online links to resources and articles to get you started. Also included is a link to the session’s PowerPoint presentation.
The Academy’s Wellness Wednesdays program is a structured, bi-monthly webinar series that focuses on enhancing professional and personal wellness. Creation of the series is the result of the OAFP’s Joy of Medicine Workgroup – a group of volunteer physicians tasked to champion the strategic objective of bringing back the joy to family medicine.
The next session of the series, set for Wednesday, October 16, is titled Taking the Bull by the Horns: How to Advocate for Your Own Wellness with speakers Sarah Sams, MD, associate director at the Grant Family Medicine Residency Program and OAFP Delegate to the American Academy of Family Physicians, and David Paragas, JD, OAFP lobbyist.
Members from all AAFP chapters and members from organizations in the Ohio Physician Wellness Coalition are invited to participate and join the conversation, thanks to a grant provided by the AAFP Foundation Family Medicine Philanthropic Consortium that was made possible through its Dues Check-Off Program!
Other resources for improving physician wellness and beating burnout are available through the OAFP website.
