On February 20, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians held its first 2019 Wellness Wednesdays webinar that focused participants on learning the joys of teaching the next generation.
For those who were not able to join the session, the program was recorded and has been archived on the OAFP’s website. Provided in the archive are several links to online resources and articles on best practices for precepting.
The Academy’s Wellness Wednesdays program is a structured, bi-monthly webinar series that focuses on enhancing professional and personal wellness. Creation of the series is the result of the OAFP’s Joy of Medicine Workgroup – a group of volunteer physicians tasked to champion the strategic objective of bringing back the joy to family medicine.
The next session of the series, Building Meaningful Connections in the Community for You and Your Patients, is set for Wednesday, April 17, with speaker Kim Yu, MD, director of quality and performance, ambulatory, and urgent care division at Vituity & chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Global Health Member Interest Group.
Other resources for improving physician wellness and beating burnout are available through the OAFP website.
