The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) is seeking member volunteers, including active and resident members, to serve as peer reviewers for the 2026 review and update of current Easy Performance Improvement (EasyPI) topic tracks.
EasyPI is a peer-reviewed curated collection of online educational resources designed to support family physicians in completing performance improvement (PI) work in practice and receiving ABFM and CME credit for the work they do. EasyPI tracks guide physicians and practice teams through evaluating background information for a specific condition, determining how that information should drive patient care, and implementing team-based practice change to improve patient outcomes.
As part of the 2026 update process, OAFP is asking reviewers to review current EasyPI tracks to ensure content, resources, and recommendations remain accurate, up-to-date, and relevant for family physicians and their practice teams. Topic areas for review include asthma, COPD, health equity/social determinants of health (SDOH), obesity, diabetes, adult immunizations, and HPV vaccination.
- OAFP staff will provide reviewers with the current EasyPI track materials for assigned topic areas, which may include Word documents, resource lists, and links to the current webpage content.
- Reviewers will assess each assigned track for clinical accuracy, timeliness, relevance to family medicine, clarity, and usefulness for performance improvement work in practice.
- Reviewers will note recommended updates, additions, or removals using the peer review form and may use the Track Changes and/or Comment features in Word as needed.
- Reviewers will return completed feedback to OAFP staff within the requested timeframe so updates can be incorporated during the 2026 review period.
- OAFP staff will compile reviewer feedback and coordinate revisions to ensure each track remains current and practical for family physicians and practice teams.
- Final updated tracks will be reviewed by staff before being maintained or refreshed online.
The anticipated period of work for the 2026 review will run from the end of August through October.
- Approximately two hours of time per track reviewed. Reviewers may indicate which topic areas they are most interested or best suited to review.
- Review one or more current EasyPI tracks in asthma, COPD, health equity/SDOH, obesity, diabetes, adult immunizations, and/or HPV vaccination.
- Participate in email correspondence with OAFP staff during the review period if clarification or additional feedback is needed.
- Complete assigned reviews between the end of August and October 2026.
