The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) invites chief residents for the 2026-27 academic year to register for this year’s Chief Resident Workshop!
This event provides an opportunity for attendees to connect and plan for the upcoming year with fellow chiefs from their own program, in addition to chiefs from residency programs across Ohio. After the conference, chiefs can continue their connections with their cohort to network and collaborate.
Session topics covered typically include the key roles of chief residents, leadership styles and tips, guidance in providing feedback, conflict resolution, time management, personal wellness, scheduling, and general tips and best practices for this important role in residency.
This year’s program will include a current chief resident Q&A panel, introduction to the American Board of Family Medicine, and overview of OAFP resident membership benefits and opportunities. The workshop will be held on Saturday, May 2, at The Grand Event Center in Grandview Heights, OH, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The cost for Ohio resident members is $220, the deadline to register is Monday, April 27. Registration fees include conference registration, breakfast, lunch, and program materials. Additional information including a full schedule and registration can be found on the OAFP website.
