The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy (SOBP) has drafted rules to specify the protocols and requirements under which a pharmacist or pharmacy intern may dispense an epinephrine autoinjector without a prescription. The draft rules implement legislation passed by the Ohio General Assembly in 2018.
Comments on the proposed rules will be accepted until close of business on Friday, May 17. All comments should be submitted to both Ali.Simon@pharmacy.ohio.gov and to CSIPublicComments@governor.ohio.gov.
The Business Impact Analysis, along with a copy of the rules, can be viewed online.
