After serving more than 27 years as executive vice president (EVP) of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) and the OAFP Foundation, Ann M. Spicer will retire on Thursday, March 31.
As a way to honor her time with the OAFP and the OAFP Foundation (Foundation) and as a way to support the family medicine pipeline for Ohio, OAFP Past Presidents Mark Belfer, DO; Ross Black, MD; and Mary Jo Welker, MD; have proposed a member-wide challenge.
They ask that you consider donating to the Foundation in honor of Ann Spicer by Thursday, March 31! What do you say; are you up for the challenge?
Below is Drs. Belfer, Black, and Welker’s message to members:
Whereas, Ann Spicer has spent the bulk of her life endeavoring to work on behalf of the people of Ohio, and
Whereas, she has spent the majority of time as the Executive Vice President of the OAFP and the OAFP Foundation, and
Whereas, she has worked tirelessly to represent the needs and abilities of the family physicians in Ohio and America, and
Whereas, she has facilitated policy and procedures, led, and coordinated the efforts of other OAFP staff to fulfill those needs of the people of Ohio and family physicians,
Therefore Be it Resolved, the OAFP members, friends, and supporters are duly and truly CHALLENGED, CONJOLED, and ENCOURAGED to make appropriate donations in her HONOR to the OAFP Foundation.
This Resolution of Challenge is presented by OAFP Past Presidents Mark Belfer, DO; Ross Black, MD; and Mary Jo Welker, MD; and their respective spouses.
