With new information coming out about COVID every day, it is hard to keep up with all the latest recommendations. Patients with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD are at increased risk for morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. That is why AstraZeneca has recently become a Partner in Health of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians – to bring the latest, non-branded respiratory health information to family physicians across Ohio.
To assist family physicians in navigating the standard of care for these vulnerable patients, a quick access guide of recommendations is available from the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD); the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA); and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) as well as links to COVID resources from other organizations.
