The Virtual Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 7 p.m. OAFP members can participate from the location of their choosing, including the comfort of their own home! During this free Zoom event, members are able to make their voices heard and contribute to bylaws-mandated business decisions of the Academy including:
- Election of officers
- Discussion and approval of bylaws amendments
- Recommendations that require approval from the membership.
- An update from Steven Furr, MD, FAAFP, Board Chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians
- An Ohio Advocacy Update and Panel Discussion
- Install your new OAFP leaders and participate in recognizing fellow OAFP members
- A Keynote Address from Margot Savoy, MD, MPH, FAAFP
- Fundraise for the OAFP Foundation
- Network with your colleagues and their families at the offsite reception at Pins Mechanical (your family and guests welcome).
By bringing the “family of family medicine” together, the Academy will reignite your passion for family medicine and inspire the next generation to choose family medicine and Ohio for their futures!
Additional event information, including a detailed schedule and continuing medical education information, can be found on the OAFP website.

CME Accreditation
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has reviewed the 2025 Family Medicine Celebration and deemed it acceptable for up to 2.75 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from August 16, 2025 to August 16, 2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association (AMA) as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
