The American Academy of Family Physicians wants to hear your stories about the opioid crisis.
As Congress continues to consider opioid legislation, federal policymakers need to understand that family physicians play an important role in addressing the opioid crisis every day. To facilitate this, the AAFP has launched a story project to illustrate the challenges family physicians face because of the crisis and how they can be part of the solution.
The story project will run through the end of August.

The title is “Opioid abuse and death – thoughts from Dayton, OH”
This paper was recently published, written by me, and summarizes many of my feelings. I also think you can tell the role of the family physician in the writing.
