The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, in partnership with other chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians, will host a virtual, American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)-endorsed Family Medicine Certification knowledge self-assessment (KSA) group study focused on cerebrovascular disease on Sunday, October 29, beginning at 6 p.m. This program is only $50 for all OAFP members! (ABFM fees still apply.)
The registration deadline has been extended to Friday, October 20, and is limited to the first 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis (any registrants after the first 40 will be placed on a waiting list). The overall virtual KSA attendance will not exceed 100 participants.
This innovative program will use a robust web-based system that will allow family physician learners from across the country the opportunity to complete a KSA while engaging their peers and an expert content leader from a location of their choosing.
This cutting-edge program will bring the issues of cerebrovascular disease directly into the physician’s home or office with guidance from a peer expert and the comfort of completing the KSA with fellow family physicians.
A completed KSA will provide 10 certification points towards your ABFM certification requirement and 8 live American Academy of Family Physicians Prescribed continuing medical education credits!
To participate, all you need is a computer, high-speed internet access, and a completed registration. The day of, participants will use an online polling system to work through KSA questions with our cerebrovascular disease expert. Our main goal is to pass the exam, with an expert speaker offering assistance when questions arise. First, questions will be displayed giving participants approximately 30 seconds to respond (time varies based on speed of participant response). Next, results will be displayed and discussed. Finally, answers will be submitted as a group and individuals will be credited for completion of the KSA.
