At its December 2024 monthly board meeting, the State Medical Board of Ohio (SMBO) voted in Yeshwant P. Reddy, MD, as president and Mark A. Bechtel, MD, as vice-president.
Each year, two members are selected by their peers to serve as president and vice-president – each term lasting one year. Among other functions, the president presides over the board meetings, makes committee assignments, and works closely with the executive director.
