The third annual report card for Ohio Medicaid managed care plans was recently released, continuing the state’s transparency effort to inform consumers and provide incentive for the health plans to improve their services. Nearly 90% of Ohioans enrolled on Medicaid are insured through private managed care plans.
The Ohio Department of Medicaid uses data provided by the plans and member surveys to evaluate each plan on the following: access to care, doctors’ communication and service, keeping kids healthy, living with illness, and women’s health.
