As we continue to navigate these challenging times, the Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP) is still working to provide important education and services to pediatric and family practices caring for children and adolescents across Ohio.
This includes offering several very important FREE educational programs focused on immunizations. Maximizing Office-Based Immunizations (MOBI) and Teen Immunization Education Sessions (TIES) are two programs provided by the Ohio AAP, with funding from the Ohio Department of Health. MOBI has been offered to providers/offices in the State of Ohio for over 20 years and continues to be an essential educational service providing the most up-to-date immunization information.
The Ohio AAP is now offering LIVE VIRTUAL versions of in-office MOBI & TIES! These enhanced trainings offer the same content as its traditional MOBI & TIES, while also adding in COVID-19 information, with a focus on provider and practice guidance during and post-pandemic.
- Guidance on continuing immunization best practices
- Epidemiology & background of COVID-19
- Practice operation guidance in a pandemic (i.e. telehealth)
- 1-hour continuing medical education for each session
- Scheduling at your convenience
- Free online office resources including:
- CDC’s Pink Book
- Vaccine Safety and Your Child booklet by Dr. Paul Offit
- Postage paid reminder/recall postcards
- Resource packets filled with essentials on immunization best practices.
Please contact Director of Immunization Programs Lory Sheeran Winland to request a live virtual MOBI and/or TIES. These virtual options may only be available for a limited time. This is the perfect time to get prepared for heavier than normal well visit and flu seasons.
